I am A B M Fowzer, a certified Tamil–English translator with over 15 years of professional experience in legal, official, and administrative translation. I currently serve as a Translator – Class I at the Provincial Council, Eastern Province and a Sworn Translator for the Ministry of Justice, Sri Lanka. My work involves providing certified translations for legal documents, official records, and business correspondence for government agencies, courts, and private clients.

My career began in community development and corporate training, where I served as a Project Manager at a local NGO and later as an Executive in Training & Development at NOLIMIT Sri Lanka. These roles taught me the importance of clear, culturally appropriate communication and the real-world impact that language accuracy can have.

Translation, for me, is about more than converting words. It’s about preserving meaning, context, and intent. I’ve built my career on three core values: accuracy, confidentiality, and reliability. Every document I handle is treated with professional care, ensuring it meets legal and cultural standards.

One moment that shaped my outlook came early in my translation career when a small phrasing error in a draft official document almost led to a serious misunderstanding in a legal agreement. I personally stepped in, corrected the document, and helped prevent what could have been a damaging situation. That experience reminded me of the real-world responsibility we hold as translators, and I’ve carried that lesson into every job since.

Outside of work, I enjoy exploring the eastern coastline of Sri Lanka, reading about social history, and participating in local community events. I’m also passionate about technology and enjoy using modern tools to improve my translation workflow and document handling.
