I'm an experienced computer engineer who is passionate about RTL digital design, VLSI, computer vision, hardware accelerators, ARM/MIPS assembly language and digital signal processing.
My industry and research career started with an internship at "Mentor graphics" to design an FPGA-based accelerator to solve linear equations 3x faster than the previous state-of-the-art.
Shortly after, I worked at at "Center of Nano-Electronics Devices" at the American university in Egypt. I was a team leader whose task was to conduct a comprehensive survey for all hardware architectures for deep learning acceleration.
I'm currently working at "Opto-Nano Electronics (ONE) lab" where our target is to design semi-custom energy-efficient architecture for Convolutional Neural Networks inference.
As for my research, I managed to publish my first paper on computer vision at IEEE Global Conference on Consumer Electronics in Japan when I was second year undergrad. Besides, I am waiting for IET IS journal notification for my submitted paper on Quantum Cryptography simulation.
In addition, I have worked as a freelancer at Fiver almost a year now, where I have managed to successfully complete 12 projects so far. My top priority is to let the client have an outstanding experience working with me. I have never missed a deadline and have always delivered my work in the best way possible.
