Architect, passionate about good architecture and living urbanism
To introduce myself, I am an Architect, Educator and Computational Design expert. I am working at the moment on design research, specialized in Design computing and Digital fabrication. I also do teaching on different Digital Design areas.
At the moment I run my own Architectural Practice, MNArchitects, I do Architectural Design and City Planning. I established my work on January 2013, I design residential and commercial Projects. I also do some workshops from time to time, in Design Computing and Digital Design.
Previously, I was working as an Assistant Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University – Qatar, there, I taught Advance Graphics for Interior Design, together with Revit Architecture. I was also helping with design studios. I was supporting the teaching of digital design tools.
Before that, I was working as an Architect in Façade and roof Industry; I have remarkable skills in Parametric Design, 3D modeling and scripting. I am an expert in a variety of Design tools, such as BIM, Virtual/Augmented Modeling, visualization and animations making, in addition to mapping, and analyzing geographic information systems (see my blog).
I also have worked as an Architect, primarily on the market of Real-estate; mainly I was designing large Residential and Commercial projects.
Before, I was in England, studying Digital Architectural Design at Salford University; I also have attended many workshops and training courses in Qatar, UK and UAE, in Design, project management and Computer Applications in Architecture. In my first degree, I studied Architecture; I was at the top of my university class, graduated First class and I was awarded the best graduation project award at Khartoum University – Sudan 2008.
