Short Academic Biography for Mohammed Janneh
Mohammed Janneh is a research scientist with many years of scientific research and industrial development experiences. From 2018-2019, Janneh held a postdoctoral research fellow position at the Institute of Photonics and electronics, Prague-Czech Republic. Between years 2017-2018, Janneh worked as a lecturer in Information technology at Association Mondipossibili, L’Aquila-Italy. In the year 2016, Janneh was a visiting research scientist at the Institute of Photonics, University of Eastern Finland. In 2013, Janneh worked in the R&D department at intecs srl, L’Aquila-Italy. From 2007-2010, Janneh was a lecturer/researcher at QuantumNET Institute of Technology, The Gambia.
Mohammed Janneh completed his Ph.D. in Electrical and electronic engineering, at the University of L’Aquila-Italy (2014-2017), with a specialization in Photonics engineers. He completed his graduate studies in the Erasmus Mundus Master (MathMods) program in mathematical modeling engineering, theory, numeric, and application, at the University of L’Aquila-Italy and University of Hamburg- Germany (2010-2012), and an undergraduate studies in Physics at the University of The Gambia (2008). His research interests lie in the area of Applied Physics, ranging from NanoPhotonics, electronic devices, optics, and biosensors. He has collaborated actively with researchers in several other disciplines of applied physics. In particular, on modeling, numerical simulation, fabrications, and experimental characterization of photonic and plasmonic devices for biosensor applications.
Janneh enjoyed playing and watching basketball, hiking, watching documentaries, and enjoying good food, and live theatre.
