As the National Director of Sales of Place Showroom, I recently ended my position with managing a Sales Team of close to 50; 8 sales managers, 8-10 Senior Account Execs/Multi-chain Reps, 15/20 Specialty Reps,10 Sales Assistants/Senior Assistants, an Executive Assistant as well as a handful of planners, merchandisers and showroom mangers.
In the past 15 years - I created friendships that will last a lifetime, I learned skills that no MBA program could ever teach you, I have developed the strongest relationships with some of the most influential and successful talent in the industry. I have worked with every department store, multi-door chain, online and top boutique in the entire US (and globally) and have met the Owners/DMM’s of most of them! I have mastered the ability to multi-task and had the opportunity to manage/oversea a sales team of nearly 50 employees. I have learned how to conduct international business around the world with a multitude of countries, I mastered my negotiating skills on the manufactures’ side and the retailers’ side and I have learned how to analyze problems, dissect them and then create strategies and solutions to solve them. I have worked the hardest I have ever worked (especially in the past 2 years while having 2 kids!) , however the financial and personal success was always well worth the late nights, weekends and constant hustle. As they always say, work is not work when you love what you do!
