Artist MONOLO VELAZQUEZ (1979- Guadalajara), son of artist MANUEL VELAZQUEZ
(1946-1999 Guadalajara), has embraced the visual arts from an early age.
Inheriting his father’s passion for various forms of visual arts,
MONOLO creates classic, abstract and floral paintings, lead drawings, 3D &
4D graffiti, & digital art.
Being the son of, and working side-by-side with, an artist allowed MONOLO to
learn and engage in the proper processes and techniques. From picking
out qualitypaints for his hand-stretched canvas, to the proper protection
techniques of lead drawings, he has learned from the best to
create notable works of art. He emphasizes the importance of
attention to specifics through his detailed craftsmanship.
MONOLO acquired his art certificates from the Palette and Chisel Academy of Fine
Arts in Chicago. He is a self-representing, registered artist with over 20
years of experience. MONOLO uses his every day experiences and his diverse
environment as his inspiration. He is a natural born artist with a bloodline that
strives to deliver new, positive, peaceful thoughts and feelings through careful
use of lines, shapes and colors to those observing his works of art. His work has
been exhibited in various businesses throughout Chicago. His goal
is to inspire the next generation to embrace the arts.
