Senior Software Developer

My name is Moses Odongo Maura, I am a senior software developer with myriad experiences. I love to develop software and web sites. Its been a rough journey for me since I have never entered any formal coding institution. Without physical instructors to guide me through my on-line college, I came close to giving up several times. What kept me going is the fact that a good number of prolific software developers gained their skills with on-the-job expertise.

I started developing small apps on my own as a hobby, anything that came by, some kind of inspired efforts in order to build my repertoire. I started in C++; learned the ropes for close to a year, until a friend introduced me to Java which at first I thought was a mouthful. I also experimented with CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and before I could even perfect the languages, I build websites beyond the scope of my imagination.

Ever since I enjoy working with Java, which expounded my ability into JavaFX. This was a completely new world to me, and with it came more ideas and more complex assignments were under my command. Challenge became the driving force to my agility, I like to solve what might be deemed as a difficult task. I get to work on it and come up with even a better version.

I have never been able to correctly appraise my ability, but the apps that I develop seem to work just fine.
