Editing and grammar are two of my passions in life, so I find it extremely rewarding to help people communicate their ideas in the best, most professional way possible, all while enhancing the spirit of the message.

I am a native English speaker with a double degree in English and Secondary English Education from the University of Maryland, which means I am not only a strong writer, but I am specifically trained to edit other people’s work and edit language to best convey the intended meaning. I have a quick and thorough eye—even my fellow English teachers come to me for grammar advice!

My hours are very flexible and can provide quick turnaround if necessary. I am friendly, open, and very accessible. My rates are also very reasonable.

Qualifications:
• Certified English teacher at one of the top public high schools in Maryland, with requisite knowledge of writing, editing, and grammar
• Teacher sponsor for the school newspaper

• B.A. English Language and Literature & B.A. Secondary English Education (both with high honors), University of Maryland, College Park

• Experience working with wide range of people, such as:
- college students
- office professionals
- people with basic / developing knowledge of grammar
- non-native English speakers

• Literate in a wide range of text – scholarly or creative, philosophical or technical, manuscripts or emails/memos
