Munair Simpson initially incorporated Network Resilience in the state of California in 2002 with the help of dear friends while studying at the University of California at Berkeley. Back then, Network Resilience provided computer network infrastructure solutions in the San Francisco Bay Area.

In 2004 the music recognition company, Gracenote, Inc. (subsequently acquired by Sony), extended Munair an offer to lead their nascent mobile team. Munair could not refuse the offer to combine his many years of experience in telecommunications and networking with his passion for music.

During that time Network Resilience's operations ground to a halt as Munair committed to developing commercial opportunities with Gracenote and his colleagues there. Network Resilience continued to be dormant even after Munair resigned from Gracenote, as he decided to pursue an MBA in Marketing at the prestigious Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

However ten years later, after overseeing the launch of an online business-to-business platform for buying and selling audio visual content as a member of the new media business development team at SK Telecom in Korea, Munair decided to reopen Network Resilience to focus on his passion for marketing strategy and social media.
