All about quality
I enjoy analyzing data and conveying my findings/results through scientific/technical writing. The bonus is that working with data often involves programming which I absolutely love. I have a diverse academic background: B.S. in Computer Science, M.S. in Geology, and M.S. in Environmental Engineering (see attached files below). As a graduate research assistant, I did computer modeling of natural systems, which involved development of a mathematical model of the system, implementation of the model in a programming environment, running the model simulations, evaluating predictive power of the model through statistical analysis of measured and predicted data, and reporting results through scientific writing. I co-authored two research papers published in highly ranked journals (see Publications in my Portfolio). In addition to scientific writing, as a teaching assistant, I did a fair share of technical writing creating lab tutorials for students.
After leaving academia, I have worked for three years in a pharmaceutical company as a Six Sigma data analyst monitoring production processes for any out-of-control conditions using SPC (statistical process control) charts, conducting statistical analysis in support of process improvement and safety projects, and authoring production summary reports. I am a Six Sigma Green Belt certified by the ASQ (American Society for Quality) (see attached files below). I have also worked as Quality Control Technician in a naturopathic company inspecting products to be released for shipment and reviewing production documentation for the cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) compliance.
For me, no job is too small. You can be assured that your project will be completed promptly and at the highest quality level. Give me a chance and you will not be disappointed.
