I grew up wanting to be an editor, and started to make this happen in college as a copy editor for news and short stories at a student publication. From there, I took on copy editing roles in business settings, looking at healthcare letters, financing contracts, legal documents, and nonprofit research surveys.
I have formal training through classes in legal research and writing (paralegal program at CLC) and in advanced editing techniques (editing certificate program at University of Chicago). These classes have honed my skills to notice and correct any errors in grammar, punctuation, or inconsistent style.
In my spare time I enjoy writing, with two Nanowrimo novels under my belt so far. I appreciate the need for a second pair of eyes, and that's the service I provide for others! I look forward to helping you edit and produce polished pieces of writing.
