3d artist, animator and game designer.
I am a Computer Games Art graduate, and completed a Games Art MA from the University of Teesside in 2011. I have quite a diverse skill set, as I began working with 3D doing art, design and animation for animated films, then I moved to film production where I worked a lot with story boarding, pre-viz and cinematography.
Somewhere a long the line I came to the realization that I often enjoyed the process of designing and building a character more than animating it, so I changed my focus from animation to design and 3d modeling and transitioned from film to games, the one thing I may be more passionate about than film. As a result, I am an artist with a solid understanding of many of the creative disciplines involved in the production of games, which not only gives me a good base for branching out and taking on new challenges, but also makes me better able to work with, and understand, the different disciplines in a production pipeline.
I'll happily pick up pretty much any software that can make my life easier, but my traditionally preferred tools of the trade are 3Ds Max, Zbrush and Photoshop.
I'm no game engine expert, but after working on some smaller game projects as well as tinkering away on some projects of my own, I've picked up some experience with Unity and Unreal Development Kit.
