About

Excel Formula expert and VBA automation professional. Self-taught throughout my college and professional career, I love a challenge and specialize in automation and form design.

I have been employed with a large police department for over 16 years. I started out in corrections and then moved into the undercover unit where I stayed for 10 years. I then moved on to the training academy where I run police officer academies and train all new deputies as they start their career with us.

Along the way in my various positions, I self taught VBA and Excel to make my job and other's jobs easier, organizing case loads, sending automated reminders, and running grant funded budget reports.. etc. I became really efficient with it as I've made my way through the department and I've become the go-to guy when it comes to any sort of spreadsheet for the departments. I began to think to myself, I really enjoy the puzzle like aspect of solving problems using VBA and Excel and thought maybe there was a market for it. I began to look online and didn't really see much in this market here in columbus so on a whim I started up my company and decided I'd start putting feelers out.
My current position in the training academy, I have to deal with state forms that are archaic and not user friendly..so I've updated them all to an excel format where everything is automated to the point where it checks instructor expiration dates and sends automated emails out without even having to open excel. It also converts the state forms to excel and reformats to match their layout. So my background with excel to be honest is pretty extensive and I've become pretty good at VBA. I've been able to solve about every problem I've come across. My most recent project was creating a Firearms Qualification dashboard that scores 22 shooters at once, auto-archives and back ups qualification forms, converts to PDF and emails them out at the touch of a button, with digital signature capability. I'd love the opportunity to help make your job or life a bit more organized, efficient, and automated. I love a challenge!

Everything is negotiable - I'm not in this for the money, I genuinely enjoy working with spreadsheets and figuring out cool ways to automate data, and make spreadsheets work for you.
