The society has become customer service oriented and it takes a special person to deliver a timely, friendly and proactive service to maximize customer satisfaction. I am that person.
My long-term experience in the service industry and counselling knowledge helped me in becoming a truly customer focused individual, a clear and engaging communicator who takes care to listen actively, empathize and act on the individual needs of customers. I have been able to assist all types of customers in different kind of settings: sales, social work and education. While my experiences also allowed me to become organized, I am also calm under pressure and able to show resilience especially during times of disruption and to respond to change positively as well building a good rapport with colleagues thus allowing an effective team work. Over time, I have been able to understand what drives customer satisfaction and behavior and developed good computer skills, positive and team focused attitude and strong verbal and written communication skills. I also enjoy interacting with people and I have always had a heart for service.
Additionally, being a Mauritian is advantageous as in we are both an English and French speaking nation and we also learn Asian languages at school. So, I can proudly say I am multilingual as I can speak and write Mauritian Creole, English, French and Urdu. Also, since Mauritius is a multicultural country, we are known for our multicultural sensitivity whereby we can demonstrate awareness towards other people and their cultures. I would like to add that I am a conscientious person who works hard; I'm flexible, and quick to pick up new skills.
