Neighbourly Nurse

An experienced Licensed Nurse and home health guru. I began caring for family members as a youth and beginning in 2005 studied nursing science in Berkshire county MA throughout high school and college.
I worked in a variety of health care settings with Berkshire Healthcare systems and other community agencies and facilities first as a hospitality aide then as a Certified nurse assistant. I studied Pre-nursing studies at Berkshire Community College where I completed prerequisites for the ADN RN program. I was waitlisted and transferred to a post secondary LPN PN program and graduated with a PN diploma of nursing in 2012. I passed the NCLEX on my first attempt to become a licensed nurse to continue working in a critical shortage long term care skilled nursing facility.
As a military spouse, I have lived and have been licensed to practice nursing in MA, KS and VA. I also worked private duty in South Korea while stationed overseas.
I am a homemaker and spouse to an active duty soldier with the US ARMY for 11 years and mother to four children ages 5 to 13.
While my children are at school I currently work with private duty clients in home health care managing medications, providing treatments to wounds, paraplegic catheter care and mostly psychiatric, Alzheimer’s and Dementia care for the elderly. I have worked in healthcare for 20 years. I have plans to pursue my LPN to BSN when my youngest child is more self sufficient. Until then, my scope of practice is focused versus comprehensive although my knowledge is not as limited. Holistically, I incorporate modalities such as Therapeutic listening, touch and massage. Additionally, culinary medicinals, through meal prep and in collaboration physical exercise is complimentary in the care that I provide. My clients and families as well as my colleagues recognise me for my knowledge, experience and my calm and caring demeanor.

Work Terms

Daily work hours are mon through thurs 0830-1500 and fri 0830-1400.
I reserve the right to cancel a scheduled booking for family needs or related emergencies. I also understand that a client may need to cancel a booking and will give you notice as far in advance as possible and expect the same courtesy extended to me. My current rate is negotiable based on a variety of payment options.
