Mechanical Design/Manufacturing Engineer
My career in manufacturing started as a CNC operator working in the Aerospace industry. Over the next 7 years I became a CNC Machinist and taught myself to program using G&M Code along with Mazak's Mazatrol programming language. I was given the opportunity to learn Solidworks while employed as a machinist. I continued my education on my own and moved into an equipment designer position in the roll forming industry. After several successful years I took a Design Engineer position with an Industrial tool manufacturer. After my first year at ATSCO I was given the position of Plant Manager and oversaw the day to day operations of the entire facility. ATSCO prospered for the next 3 years before being purchased by our biggest competitor. I now work for the new owners as a design consultant. My new position leaves me with some free time that I would like to put to good use.
