I've written for as long as I can remember and have three years of experience to back up my passion. I have had the opportunity to display my work on blogs, businesses, and websites.

My name is Nicole Valdes and I am a recent graduate of Florida State University with a degree in English and a concentration in Creative Writing. My passion for writing came together with my love of fashion, style, and beauty when I became an Editorial Intern for the Miami edition of Refinery29.com. Here, I was able to use my sense of humor, my talent as a writer, and my creativity to publish over fifty articles. A year later, I found myself attending workshops and literature classes at Florida State, where I learned what it really takes to be a great writer. When people hear that I chose to study something with the word “creative” in the name, they tend to question my judgment. What many people fail to realize is that in studying writers, novels, and stories, I was assigned countless assignments where I had to practice taking on those writer’s voices, tones, and styles. As a Content Intern for Nikki Novo Writes, a company that creates content for businesses, I have had to do the same thing, but in order to improve the blogs, websites, and newsletters of businesses around South Florida.

As someone who tends to be a positive thinker, I am constantly focusing on where I am going. Rather than thinking of set backs, I think of achievements and goals. This has led me to be a very hard worker, as my mind is always on the end result.
