Ten years ago my young adult mind told me that I had to be a creative person for the rest of my life. I figured the best way to do that was to draw all the time and write terrible poetry. I was wrong.
I learned through my years as a struggling artist that there is more to marketing yourself than just being a talented artist. You need to be smart, resilient and proactive. I began freelancing, saying yes to every opportunity provided to me and building my skills around my interests.
Ten years later I am capable of cranking out high quality content in half the time of a student. My pricing, therefore, is amazingly low because I typically completely projects in days that would take other creative professionals weeks.
