Medical writer
I developed a fascination for medicine at an early age, scribbling into my Barbie notebook in an effort to help my family understand my mom’s prognosis. Despite being just 12 years of age, I felt responsible for translating what the physician was saying into actionable advice we could all benefit from. It was an upward trajectory from there.
After studying urology at PhD level, I shifted my focus to oncology when I embraced a research-intensive role at a global medcomms agency. The contrast between those early day Barbie branded clinical notes, to being responsible for managing the oncology literature database and distilling groundbreaking cancer research, was glaringly apparent. This was my calling!
Relocating to Toronto fueled my professional growth, allowing me to diversify the medical writing projects I got involved with. Crafting slide decks and summarizing congress seminars became my canvas, satisfying my cravings for variety and intellectual stimulation. Now, I create rigorously researched content to help oncologists, urologists, and key opinion leaders make science-backed decisions in healthcare.
