"Writing is a craft and, like all craft, proceeds by stages: conception, material selection, rough shaping, detailed shaping, sanding and finishing."
Richard Rhodes
By using this writing process, be it for professional or personal work, it has produced high quality material and clients have been extremely happy with the output.
I am a British journalist living in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. I studied at the University of Central Lancashire, which is well known for its journalism programs. I began my working career in local and national newspapers in England and magazines in Spain. I then branched into NGO work, where I was to utilize my skills and combine it in my interest in humanitarianism and human rights.
I began working with the British Refugee Council in Birmingham where I produced marketing material and case studies, and then I worked at Casa Alianza in Tegucigalpa where I wrote a book with youths at social risk about their experiences on the street and social issues in Honduras. I have gone to work for grass-root charities to improve their publicity and online material in English to gain more donors, as well as work in bilingual schools teaching teenagers how to write, edit and design a newspaper.
I have also worked at Laureate International Universities where I helped coordinate and develop marketing campaigns and material for events such as the World Business Forum and the Clinton Global Initiative. On top that, I managed and maintained the Laureate Connect online magazine. I produced writing guides, templates and SEO strategies
Independently, I write articles for newspapers in the UK, blogs for various business clients, newsletters and translation work from English to Spanish.
In my spare time, I write novels, poetry, I write my own blog, I visit national parks around Central America and I volunteer with the Catholic church. I am a nature lover, with a special interest in parrots and large cats.
Work Terms
I work six days a week from 5 am to 3am CST.
For articles, I charge $30. Translations are $10 per page.
