Helping Businesses Grow Through a Distinctive Blueprint of Platforms and Marketing Automation , SEO , Websites & Mobile Apps
Hello, my name is Steve Trujillo, owner of NM Marketing, and I’m absolutely passionate about what I do.
My journey into marketing began when I was given the task of overseeing the website of an online envelope company for which I had worked for 10 years as a printer. To tell you the truth, I had no idea what I was getting myself into when they offered me the job. There was a daunting learning curve and the tremendous task of overseeing all sales and the marketing for the website. Still, I was up for the challenge. I believe that you are only limited by the limits you put on yourself; as I agreed to the job, my grandfather’s words echoed in my head: You are never too old to learn. As I delved into the online marketing industry for this company, I came across terms like SEO, organic traffic, Adwords and phrases like ‘managing Google analytics’. These were concepts I had no clue about, just like a lot of you out there that own a business. So there I was, managing this website and the company’s marketing when all I had thought I would be doing was just taking care of making sales. Consequently, I spent a lot of time researching and reading all the information I could get my hands on about online marketing.
Unfortunately, it didn’t work out with that particular company (due to overall sales); however, the experience opened my eyes to the marketing industry and to my keen curiosity and passion for it. I found that the more I read, the more I enjoyed learning. After all, I’m a tech junkie, so this was right down my alley. While looking for a new job and hitting dead ends, I continued to learn. I then realized I had an invaluable opportunity to reinvent myself and do something new. With this chance to build a business around something I loved, I decided to start my own online marketing company.
What changed my life and my career focus to marketing was discovering Matt Law’s article on Four Step Marketing. It had everything that was missing in my previous company’s market
