I am Dr. Obioha Oti, the CEO and Managing Director of Upswing Consulting and Training Limited and also the CEO of Blessed Trust Publishing and Printing. I am a highly experienced scholar, consultant, corporate trainer, publisher and writer with over a decade experience in the industry. I worked successfully in the banking industry for a little over twelve years and resigned in 2017 to concentrate on my business and writing which is a special passion for me. I have a number of manuscripts that I am working on presently.
I am also a serial entrepreneur, and a prolific ghost-writer. I have written several books, authored in my name and also for clients. Many of the books I have written are popular in Nigeria. Some of the books that I have written (in my name) include the following titles: “Too Late for Anything” (fiction), “The gods are Mistaken” (fiction), “Win The Rat Race” (Non-fiction), "Quit the Rat Race" (Non-fiction) , “Break Aki Oyibo Nsugbe” (Anthology of my Poems). I am also an avid reader.
I am the current National Vice President, Association of Mobile Money and Bank Agents in Nigeria, AMMBAN. I am a seasoned Training Facilitator, with expertise in Banking and Finance courses and Entrepreneurship Training. I consult for many highly reputable institutions, including the Nigeria Interbank Settlement System Plc, NIBSS and Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.
I am a holder of B. Eng (Chemical Engineering), MSc (Engineering Management, ESUT), and DBA in view (Business Administration, UNIZIK), LL.D honoris causa (Dove Francaise University, UK). I am a member of several professional bodies in Nigeria and Internationally. Some of these professional bodies include the following: Fellow, Institute of Management Consultants Nigeria, Member, International Council of Management Consulting Institutes, ICMCI, Member, Association of Nigerian Authors, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, CIBN, member, Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria ICEN, member, Chartered Institute of Finance and Control Of Nigeria, CIFCN, member, Nigeria Society of Engineers and many others.
