Based out of Ventura California, just north of Los Angeles, our facility services a variety of industries including film and entertainment, automotive and boating and industry leaders in aerospace and theme parks. We give our undivided attention to the lone inventor / entrepreneur in the same way we service a large corporation. At One-Off we’re up for a challenge, and our creative, motivated and innovative staff strive to fulfill your unique needs. Benjamin R McKee, the lifeblood and soul behind One-Off Effects. Ben has consulted and advised for local and world-wide clients on all aspects of mechanical, artistic and aesthetic design. Ben worked for Magnuson Products as a project manager and resident artist at their corporate headquarters in Ventura California. Prior to that Ben held the position of project manager and multidisciplinary fabricator for TransFX (a custom fabricator). Along with extensive mechanical and artistic experience, Ben is a professional consultant, teacher and artist. His experience includes working as a CAD designer, CNC programmer, machinist, metal fabricator and pattern maker.

Work Terms
Our process:
1. Client Consultation and Project Brief
Together we will discuss the job, we will determine the requirements for design. At that point we will write a Project Brief that will include, a description of the content and project timeline.
2. Design Direction and Development
We will supply a design sketch based off your supplied information combined with our research. This Sketch will be submitted to you in PDF format via email. We will communicate via email about what aspects you like and what aspects you don't. When a final Design is agreed upon we move to the next step.
3 Final Design Stage
Taking the information from step two, we complete the final Design/Prototype.
4. Implementation
Upon completion of the project, we will submit a packet that includes all the applicable files.
In order to initiate the job we require 50% payment up front and a signed contract between both parties. The remaining balance will be invoiced upon project completion, due per standard net 30 terms.
