I read widely - from toothpaste tubes to the classics. My writing life has included blog posts, news and feature articles, learning materials for students and teachers, poetry and fiction.

From small town USA to African city life and back to small town USA, my travels have given me a broader view of people, the world and life. I have been known to read the dictionary for pleasure and debate the finer points of punctuation, but I'm a 21st century reader who enjoys a variety of blog posts from well written blogs, YA, romance, fantasy, and other fiction genres along with biographies, autobiographies and other nonfiction writing.

Work Terms

I am flexible when the job requires it, but my normal hours are 7 to 3. I prefer email communication although phone calls are better for tight deadlines and conferring on queries for work in progress. I require 50% upfront for a job and the balance within a week of its completion. Electronic funds transfer works for me. If you require a rapid turnaround, fees are negotiated based on time factors. Rates can be hourly ($15 per hour), $19 per 1000 words for editing, or negotiated per project and your budget.
