Born and raised in a land locked state, you likely wouldn't peg me as the type to have endured harsh winters in the oilfields of the Arctic or sailing for my life through a stormy pitch blackness over the frigid waters of Resurrection Bay outside Seward, Alaska. Nor would you think I would be the type to swing by rope from the back of a crew boat onto an oil platform in six foot rollers. Yes, I have been blessed to have had an adventurous life and equally sturdy friends to pull me along the trail.
To pay the bills, I have settled into a solid career in Environmental Health and Safety. I am served well in this endeavor with a degree in Engineering Chemistry and 25 years of experience in mining, renewable energy, oil and gas, electronics and aerospace. However, I am keen to expand my horizons into a career in writing.
I am also an avid political junkie who can converse easily on a variety of current affairs and global matters.
