Key Team Members
Patrick Chopson: Focusing on the crossover between architecture and technology, Patrick Chopson has been a researcher at Perkins +Will. Also graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology, he co-founded of the Energy Lab at Perkins +Will. He has won awards in the Department of Energy 2014 Race to Zero competition as part of the Georgia Tech gt.5 team. Patrick focuses on process integration and computational design. He has eight years of experience in both architecture and mechanical engineering firms. His undergraduate in architecture is from Southern Polytechnic State University in Marietta, GA and is now teaching a Focus Studio there about performance driven design to achieve the Living Building Challenge.
Sandeep Ahuja: A graduate from Georgia Institute of Technology, Sandeep Ahuja became a researcher at Perkins + Will. After finishing her undergraduate degree in architecture, she is focusing her studies on high performance buildings. She recently explored electric vehicle integration for the Ford Motor Company and co-founded of the Energy Lab at Perkins +Will. She is pioneering the integration of energy analysis into the design process. She recently won an award for the Race to Zero design competition held by the Department of Energy. She is now teaching a Focus Studio there about performance driven design to achieve the Living Building Challenge.
