Designer, Craftsman, Developer

I have been many things from Retail sales, software developer, business manager, to Furniture Designer and maker.

I began working as a software developer for a large firm developing CRM systems for Utility companies. I learnt a lot about User Interface Design and creating effective code that would be robust to meet customers needs.

I then worked as a project lead for a company developing a medical registry. This taught me a lot about project management and setting expectations for clients.

Following that I was welcomed back to the previous company to become a Senior Software Engineer designing and developing their next Gen products.

I then went freelance helping small businesses to get online and assisting in coding and improving their websites, including working with applications such as Wordpress and Joomla. I developed skills in Web server technologies, mail lists, and became knowledgeable in the development of Facebook and Social Media campaigns. I learnt about SEO and about website security.

My interest in Furniture design peaked two years ago when I began a course in Furniture Design and Making and have created a number of projects for my household and others and I am wishing to pursue this field further as well..I am working with a partner in a business to create bespoke furniture.
