I tell stories for companies and individuals, and create a dynamic synergy between you and your clients.
As a graduate of English Literature from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, I understand the emotional impact and persuasive power of words. I've also had the opportunity to work with internationally acclaimed author of The Whale Rider, Witi Ihimaera. An excerpt from my novella can be found in my work samples.
Since graduation, I've worked in both IT positions as well as English language teaching positions (to speakers of other languages).
My first job out of college was in technical sales, where I helped clients choose the best products for their individual needs. By listening to customers and explaining how our product worked in language they could understand, I was able to connect with clients and show them how our company could make a difference for them.
Since then, I've moved forward in various communication and client-facing positions within the IT world where I've dealt with clients through many different channels, including customer service, fraud prevention, and marketing.
Recently, I've been working as an English language teacher to speakers of other languages. I've taught English grammar, vocabulary, conversation, as well as listening/speaking and reading/writing skills. I work often with students and correct their errors and edit their papers, and instruct them on the finer points of English language. With background and education, they know that I'm an authority and body of knowledge on the English language, and a source they can trust.
For detailed information on my background, experience, and education, please see my attached resume.
