I am naval architect with a diploma of yacht and power craft design awarded from the Southampton Institute in 2000. With more than 30 years of experience in boatbuilding, sailing, and naval architecture, I was involved in more than 30 different projects in naval architecture, in fields such as water taxis, sailing catamarans, sailing yachts from 6 to 46m, in aluminum, steel, wood and FRP
Designing yacht is one thing, knowing yacht is another one. Many naval architects have no experience in sailing and only work in a virtual way by doing what other do on computer from an office. I have a very extensive experience in sailing from three mast barque to modern catamaran yacht as crew and skipper, and non-negligible experience in building and repairing yacht. I believe that I learn much more about yacht design on a deck than in front of a computer.
With more than 20 years of 3D design particularly with Solidworks, non-negligible involvement in yacht interior design as well as furniture, and complex mechanical part for yacht, I cumulate non-negligible experience for mechanical and product design
