I create technical documents to promote my people's health and safety

As a medical scribe with two years’ experience in hospital secretarial work who has taken graduate level research classes and created curriculum for computer literacy, I offer medical writing and document design.

I am able to integrate with workflows including EMRs for HIPAA restricted material, as well as with front-end workflows for public content. I can also implement technical writing and document preparation for peer review.

My background as a writer was formed in the creative writing spaces of yesteryear’s Internet, where many indie authors, publishers, and bloggers praised my rigorously analytical but also energetically celebratory review writing. I had an association with a short story e-zine, writing reviews for each story published. My reviews of long form novels appeared in a popular sub-genre blog.

Years before, while a teenager, I had taught myself how to program in a C-like language in order to make my own text adventure computer games. In college, I majored in new media and learned all the ways to make narratives using computers. One of those was Web publishing. Having formally studied HTML and CSS, I proceeded to teach myself front-end web development workflow, including pre-processors, Node.js. My first job out of college involved creating a website from scratch for a small business, writing all the front-end code myself and integrating a simple PHP-based CMS for content modifications. In that job, I also applied the graphic design skills learned in the classroom by creating printed material for distribution as well as digital content for the website and the Facebook and Twitter accounts, which I managed.
