Experienced Editor, Detailed Proofreader and Professional Grant Writer
I graduated from Ball State University in 1987 and was appointed as a State Investigator for the Indiana Attorney General. This was where I began sharpening my eye for details and presenting error-free legal documentation. Afterwards I created the 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization, Home Team Advantage, Inc. I began writing state and federal grants which netted the agency several million dollars. As I adopted 6 children I found my time limited and took a position with Family Interventions, Inc. writing their grants and proofreading/editing all legal documents for the organization. As an additional source of income I have edited manuscripts, books, creative writing and resumes. At this time all but one of my children are adults and I have extra time to offer clients expert editing and professional proofreading as well as all inclusive grant writing.
Work Terms
Communication is important and I welcome phone calls but prefer email and texts when appropriate. I am available as needed and do much of my work in the evening hours. Often times my work schedule is customized to the project's needs. On small projects payment may be made upon completion. For larger projects we can discuss a payment schedule per identified completed tasks.
