Hi there, my name is Peggy Bain.

I studied English Literature at the University of Sussex a few years ago, where I fell in love with writing. Since then I've worked for an online events blog (Brighton Journal) and a luxury hotel company (JJW Hotels and Restorts). Whilst travelling through South America I also worked for various hostels, writing content for social media accounts and online sales portals.

Whenever I have time I write my own creative prose and poetry, and often edit friends' work. The creative variety of a freelance writing career has always had a huge appeal for me. Now that I have been furloughed from my role as a copywriter, it seems like a viable option.

I have written elegant, formal articles for a luxury travel company, and punchy, contemporary content for the Brighton Journal. My varied experience has given me flexibility as a writer; I understand how to adapt my tone of voice to suit the individuality of each publication. I have learnt to meet tight deadlines through my work as a journalist, where I was expected to produce up to 5 original articles per day.

I believe I'd be an asset to you, and that this portal would give me the opportunity to grow as a writer.
