To craft compelling work that exceeds client expectations and leaves a lasting impression.
From a young age, I was captivated by visual storytelling—animated films, games, and later, digital marketing. This fascination with animation inspired me to explore motion graphics as a career, where artistry meets technology. I started with formal education in digital media, focusing on design principles, animation, and storytelling. Learning Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, and later Blender, I laid a solid technical foundation, enhanced further by hours of self-learning and experimenting with personal projects.
Early on, I began freelancing, creating 2D and 3D visuals for small businesses in Kenya. These projects taught me valuable lessons in client communication, project management, and storytelling in short-form content. A memorable project for a local brand involved crafting a 15-second animated promo under tight deadlines, which challenged me to balance creativity with efficiency and to deliver a visual that resonated with the audience.
Specializing in 3D animation and product visualization became my niche, allowing me to bring products to life with intricate details and realistic environments. Blender became my preferred tool for simulations, lighting, and materials. One of the most challenging yet rewarding projects involved a water simulation with five balls bouncing in a pool, requiring precise rigid body simulation and water dynamics. The lengthy baking and rendering times were worth the final result, reinforcing my patience and dedication to the craft.
Over time, I continued expanding my expertise, enhancing my skills in After Effects, Premiere Pro, and the Adobe Suite. With over five years of experience, I’ve become proficient at crafting captivating 2D and 3D elements, using motion to tell brand stories and convey messages. Recently, I worked on a YouTube Shorts series about inventions by women that were credited to men, combining AI-generated images with animated storytelling to highlight social issues—showing me how animation can be a tool for advocacy and education.
As a freelancer, I learned to navigate the Kenyan market, developing quotes that reflect the value of my work while aligning with local market expectations. Transparent communication and a focus on client satisfaction have been central to building strong client relationships. I present myself as a 3D product visualization specialist and motion graphics designer proficient in After Effects and Blender, committed to exceeding client expectations through quality and attention to detail.
Looking forward, I see immense potential in motion graphics, especially as digital media and immersive storytelling evolve. My goal is to keep pushing creative boundaries, incorporating technologies like AI and exploring advanced 3D techniques. I envision my animations becoming interactive experiences, part of a future where audiences can engage with stories in new, immersive ways.
