Work Terms
I have commissioned art for over 25 years for the average person that wants a memory put in a painting for themselves or as gift.
The process starts with a quality photograph. A good photograph is a very important. I reserve the right to refuse a job if the photograph provided is not clear enough to get the detail necessary.
I will work with the client via the internet sending digital photos of the artwork. I ask a lot of questions to get the painting of the clients choosing. I make reasonable changes as the client wishes. I send a digital photo of the artwork for final approval.
I usually charge a rate as to size, subject matter, number of pets/people, background and time requested in art that I am painting.
The mediums I use are oil painting on canvas or colored pencil with a watercolor background/ mixed medium/ on illustration board and clay sculpting. Samples of my art on this site or www.dianejorstad.com .
