I read, I write, I travel, and so I am! Actively looking for mindful projects where I can use my love for writing and put my expertise in content to good use.
I was working in an IT company, before calling it quits to pursue my calling to become a writer. I started off at a web content agency in Bangalore as a content writer. Within a short span, I got the opportunity to become an Editor and moved on to managing a small team of writers. Soon, my job role involved being an in-house Project Manager. From meeting clients and coming up with effective content strategies, to planning execution and being responsible for timely deliverables, my duties have mostly covered the A to Z of content writing.
I've been responsible for maintaining the quality level of every project I take up. On-boarding new projects and setting processes in place for a hassle-free execution is something I have mastered over the years. I like to give attention to detail and have an eye for things that can go wrong based on prior experience.
After 3 years of gaining experience in the web content industry, I co-founded an organization called KnowYourStar, where we amplified positive stories of inspiring role models. I played an active role in finding, connecting and interviewing role models suitable for the website. I also led the team to write, edit, and design engaging articles/stories on the website.
I was responsible for training new writers, proofreading final drafts and publishing them, and correcting technical errors. I personally wrote and published blog articles about team updates and field activities to keep our audience engaged and informed. I handled the social media profiles of the organization single-handedly. I also built an organic email marketing strategy to keep our supporters informed and updated about the organization's various initiatives.
My last project has been my favorite one so far, where I got an opportunity to spearhead the curation of the "Know Your Star Book Of Possibilities" - a series of career-awareness books featuring kid-friendly stories of role models with simple explanations for complex professions.
