Bio: Anthony S. Deese, Ph.D., is a Professor and Department Chair for Electrical and Computer Engineering at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ). He received his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in computer engineering as well as Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in electrical engineering from Philadelphia's Drexel University in 2003 and 2008, respectively. Before joining TCNJ in Fall 2010, he spent two years as a postdoctoral researcher and adjunct assistant professor at Drexel's Center for Electric Power Engineering (CEPE). He has significant experience teaching undergraduate as well as graduate courses on artificial neural networks and machine learning, power systems and sustainability, global sustainability initiatives, circuit analysis and electronics, as well as engineering mathematics. His most recent research is published in the IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IET Wireless Sensor Systems Journal, Proceedings of the IEEE/ACM International Symposium on Cluster, Cloud, and Grid Computing, as well as IEEE Transactions on Power Systems. Professor Deese is a member of the IEEE Computer as well as Power and Energy Societies. He is currently the secretary for the IEEE Power and Energy Society Student Activities Subcommittee.
