My name is Madeline Casola and Proofection is my brain child.
I am a bona fide grammar geek with a Bachelors degree in Linguistics from Queen’s University (Canada) and a Masters in Education from Niagara University (US).
Proofection was born out of my intense desire to eradicate all of the (cyber)world’s spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors. I am nothing if not ambitious.
What started as a labour of love morphed into an opportunity to make a career out of finding and fixing other people’s mistakes.
I have been told that my ability to spot errors almost everywhere I go is somewhat surreal. I guess you can say that proofreading is my superpower.
I find mistakes in everything from websites, published fiction, restaurant menus, procedure manuals and municipal signage (I promise, I didn‘t make up that last one).
