I've been a proposal writer now for over nine years and thoroughly enjoy the work. The research, the writing, the aesthetics of the entire proposal are all critical components for me.

I love "best value" deliverables, as I've won for clients that WERE NOT low, but the proposal was so well written that the end-user decided to go with them instead.
