I am looking to apply for transcription and/or copy-typing jobs here at Guru. I have 3 years of transcription experience in an office setting, and an additional 2 years work experience as a freelance transcriptionist, both contractual and web-based.
I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education, major in English. I worked as an ESL/EFL teacher for a bit before landing a General Transcriptionist position with Optimum Transsource, Inc. After 3 years of transcription experience, I decided to grab the opportunity to work abroad, in Thailand. For nearly 10 years there, I worked as a Science teacher (employing English as the primary medium of instruction), I was promoted to an academic coordinator, and I was additionally appointed as the department head for one of the school primary programs.
Having worked in a school setting, and given my transcription experience, I am confident in my English proficiency and computer (typing) skills.
Other tasks/jobs I would like to work on:
* Making worksheets or study handouts
* Creating PowerPoint presentations (for meetings, student reports, etc.)
* Photography; photo editing/enhancing using Lightroom (entry-level)
* Video editing using Wondershare Filmora (entry-level)
* Graphic design (entry-level)
