A good programmer looks both ways before crossing a one way street.
I'm a final year undergraduate student doing his bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering in National Institute of Technology Calicut, India, one of the premier technical institutes in India.
I was introduced to the world of computers at a very young age. I got interested in programming when my dad showed me how to copy files using Windows command prompt. I have been fascinated by command lines, terminals and scripts ever since. I made my first website using HTML I learnt from book when I was in fifth grade. It developed an interest in me for web development. That interest soon took me to the world of information security. I have been an information security enthusiast ever since. With a desire to learn more about security and networking I started learning Linux and scripting languages like python. I became a full time Linux user after joining college. During second year of college I was selected as the sysadmin for the software systems laboratory of the college. My responsibilities included managing the entire network of the lab which included several desktops and 6 servers. I learnt a lot about networks and Linux from being the administrator for the lab. I started making scripts in python for automating various tasks inside the laboratory. This activity helped me gain proficiency in python. Good knowledge in python helped me contribute to a couple of open source projects. During my period in college I've done internship in two reputed companies which involved developing python applications. I've developed websites, android applications and python applications for my department in college.
I'm a quick learner and I always look forward for opportunities to learn new things.
