Mr. Ralph Alvarez, Founder and Principal Architect at SquidNet Software, Inc.
Mr. Alvarez has been an IT Professional since 1986. He has held positions as a Chief Architect, Senior Software Engineer, Lead Design Engineer, Principal Project Manager and Technical Account Manager.
Since 2001, Mr. Alvarez has held many senior engineer positions with Wind River Systems and Intel Corporation. His primary roles included responsibilities for project planning and assessment, requirements definition, architecture/design and the implementation/integration of advanced engineering solutions for major corporations like Boeing Aerospace, NASA, Curtiss-Wright Corporation, Sun Microsystems, Motorola, Inc., Verizon Communications, Inc and others.
Prior to working for Intel Corporation, Mr. Alvarez worked as a systems architect for Access360 where he was responsible for designing the company’s Enterprise Resource Management System. As one of the initial members of this startup, Ralph was a member of a development team that was granted numerous software and engineering patents. Access360 was acquired by IBM Corporation in 2002.
As the founder of SquidNet Software, Inc, Ralph serves as chief architect and primary developer of Distributed Computing Solutions for the TV, film, 3D Animation and Visual Effects (VFX) industries. SquidNet products conceptualized, designed and developed by Ralph have been used by over 100 animation studios including: LucasFilm Animation, Moving Picture Company (MPC), Nickelodeon Studios, Rethink Studios, Square Enix (Sony Entertainment) and a number of cloud-based rendering services (Render4You, Drop&Render and Render724 to name a few).
Ralph is a US Citizen with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. Outside of his professional environment, Ralph is a low-handicap golfer, an avid outdoorsman, a technology enthusiast and enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends. He’s been married to his lovely wife for almost 32 years,
