I've been exposed to scientific computing and machine learning research from my Junior year in college and I've had the opportunity to work a bit in different subfields such as Neural Signal Processing (Computational Neuroscience), Named Entity Recognition in Text, and Face Detection/Verification. After graduating from college I've been working as a Cognitive Engineer (mix of Machine Learning and Backend roles) for an Austin based AI startup that has a satellite office in Hyderabad, India.

As a principled software programmer, I like to write clean and idiomatic code wherever possible and my tools of proficiency are Pytorch for deep learning related tasks and pandas/sci-kit learn for non-gpu based tasks. In general I am most comfortable in Python and would submit a reproducible Jupyter notebook if you don't have any specific deliverable requirements. As an engineer no stack is too unfamiliar to touch when necessity demands! I believe my experience in both engineering and data science is a pleasant asset for practical development. Aside from Python I am fluent in C and C++ and work in these languages as well but over a longer discussed time scale based on requirements.
