Vision: Being a qualified Chartered Accountant I continuously look out for business value enhancement through identifying opportunities and converting them into value for all stakeholders by putting to use 33+ years of finance / audit experience with corporates like British American Tobacco Ltd, ALCAN of Canada, ETERNIT of Belgium, Chambal Fertilizers – India, OCP – Morocco, ITC Maurya Sheraton and Compass of UK.
Objective:
Be Head of Internal Audit function of a large corporate or Deputy Head of Internal Audit function of a very large group or CEO of a SME.

Being self-starter and highly motivated, throughout 33+ years of professional employment I have demonstrated creativity in my working, independence in recommending appropriate solutions and providing value-addition through actionable recommendations aimed at sustainable business improvements and risk reduction.
My work, in IT environment, has always:
1. Demanded excellent interpersonal skills but without dilution of purpose when interfacing with other members of Senior Management and Regulators.
2. Reflected exceptional decision-making and usage of sound analytical skills to ravel very quickly complex organizations situations, processes with the ultimate aim to evaluate business operations and associated risks.
I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1985 from “The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India” while serving S.B. Billimoria & Co., Chartered Accountants, than correspondents to both “Ernst & Whinney” and KPMG.
Since 2000, I have been serving as Head Audit, have set up Audit Functions and independently reported, functionally, to Audit Committee and administratively per Organizational set up. Audits conducted in India, Europe, Middle East, North Africa include Hotels, Facility Management, Energy / Power, Fertilizer, Retail, Financial Services, Construction, Trading, Manufacturing & Aviation.
Audit responsibilities included:
1. Profit protection without diluting compliance with Code of Conduct
2. Compliance with Anti-Bribery Act
3. Management of Speak Ups
4. Managing an enterprise-wide risk assessment covering, inter-alia, operational, financial, regulatory and reputational risk.
5. Developing risk-based auditing and monitoring plan from the identified risk priorities within the different entities and among cross functional departments to set up a group corporate standard.
6. Develop enabling internal audit infrastructure, methodologies, programs, including, inter-alia, IFC Processes & Controls.
7. Train colleagues at all levels of organization – a passion, since 1985, which led me to teach Accounts and Audit on Honorary basis as Faculty Member of Calcutta University - Bhowanipore College, Calcutta, India
8. Conduct follow-up activities to validate, monitor, or audit corrective actions to mitigate and/or resolve the identified risks.
