I’ve been a full-time professional visual storyteller in Omaha since 2004. After 14 years as a staff photojournalist at the Omaha World-Herald, and nearly 3 years as a multimedia specialist in the Office of University Communications for the University of Nebraska at Omaha, I began working as a freelance photographer and videographer in the spring of 2021.
A great photograph or video can bring the audience into the moment, to feel another person’s emotion and further understand other layers of a story beyond what words can convey.
It’s a special feeling to preserve a moment in time for all to see. Since I was a teenager, I have felt alive with a camera in my hands. I’m thankful to have my dream job where I can learn about a wide variety of subjects, go on adventures and meet interesting people who allow me to share their stories.
