Renata Du Toit is a writer of various topics. Growing up in Johannesburg, South Africa, she discovered a love for baking at a young age. Assisting her mom in the kitchen, she soaked up tricks and tips whenever possible. When she wasn't doing that, Renata would spend time with her dog - learning the language and behavioural patterns of these marvelous creatures - or reading libraries of books. As a teenager she decided to study contemporary music and found that writing songs was a great way to express oneself and enjoyed the creative outlet. Then during adulthood she decided to combine her passion and knowledge of food and dogs with the power of words, captivating readers in a relatable fashion by means of articles, reviews or blog posts. She also writes short stories, still allowing the more creative side to open up and run free. A food-writing course and a travel magazine competition was the start of Renata's more serious writing journey. It led her to other ventures such as composing articles for an online dog magazine and doing reviews of products for fur-friends. Her life's mission is to seek and embrace purpose.
