We match your people practices to your strategy for superior business performance.
A powerful blend of theory and practice.
RBS was formed in 1998 by Martin Lewis, after he saw a gap in the market for a unique blend of HR skills and strong corporate experience. RBS grew quickly. To support this growth, Myles Hopkins joined RBS.
Drawing on their theoretical HR knowledge and extensive work in the challenging South African corporate sector, they helped companies get the best out of their people, but always in the context of core business objectives and strategy.
The move paid off, and within barely a year the fledgling RBS had established a strong client base, which has since grown to include clients throughout the world. Building on its long-term track record, the company is currently expanding into the United Arab Emirates, which will be used as a base to serve the broader Gulf region. Paula Zietsman came on board in 2015 to join Myles and Martin, and will spearhead the company's growth in the region.

A practical, value-based mindset
We are firm believers in the dictum that a good plan executed next month is more effective than a perfect plan executed next year. We aim to complete most of our projects within a month, and (with few exceptions) try not to exceed three. In today's fast-moving world of continuous disruption, the goalposts move far too frequently for long-term consultancy projects to be operationally viable.
The other core element of our approach is a willingness to listen. No two companies are the same; and neither are their particular business challenges. Only once we have a good handle on things do we dip into our range of products and services to tailor an appropriate, best-fit solution.
