I'm a freelance journalist based in London. The music and live industry is my main thing, but by no means only, and I can do news, features and interviews.
My career started as an apprentice to education journalist Janet Murray, before music industry trade title Music Week took me on as staff writer. During my three years there I rose the ranks to news editor and left with a solid understanding of the inside goings on of the music industry (as well as how to write, edit, design and produce a weekly magazine while keeping its accompanying website up to date).
Alongside a regular gig writing about the UK music business for US title HITS, others I've written for include the Guardian, Independent on Sunday, Billboard, Music Business Worldwide, Music Ally, Company magazine (when it was still around), Sunday Telegraph, The Journalist and Music Teacher.
