I spent my early career in the private sector, in Accounting and Finance (Management Accounting), and added Human Resource management as situations demanded. I loved that balance of people and numbers. Later on I realized that I was intrigued by the stories and the people behind the numbers, and I also saw a pattern in my life of doing a lot of volunteer work in my communities. So, I migrated to Nonprofit Management and earned a Masters' degree in that discipline--equivalent to a MBA, but with a Social Sector focus. I have incorporated a specialty in Organizational Development, Leadership development and Consultancy Practices through my work and academic pursuits.

I love to help business owners and leaders to achieve their goals, and to improve internal systems and processes.

While my specialty is the Nonprofit sector, I have deep experience and interest in the Private sectors too. As long as I can leave things better than I found them--and I always do--the form of the entity is not essential or primary.

I am a quick study and can handle any software or systems you might have in place. I have worked in global environments, so international perspectives are interesting, and not a barrier for me.

I balance the details of financial transactions or operational processes with the big-picture view of strategy development and external connections. This is what my many years of experience have provided, and I love putting it all to play so that everything is synthesized and working optimally.

Work Terms

It depends upon the assignment: if it is operational and in line with other staff work, I work by the hour. Other situations require a project based fee, which normally would be based on a blend: value of the work, time and level of sophistication demanded.
