I am a digital content creator and editorial manager specializing in entertainment, music and marketing.

I am a music/media/entertainment industry veteran, having launched my career as a Feature Writing Fellow with Walt Disney Studios' Writing Fellowship program upon earning my BA in TV/Radio from Southern Methodist University (with a minor in French). With extensive experience both behind the scenes (former personal assistant to nationally-syndicated radio pioneer, Tom Joyner) and out front and center (opening cast member at Universal Studios Japan, singer/songwriter/recording artist), I am actively pursuing freelance writing opportunities in music/entertainment, lifestyle, and travel.

Since 2011, I have held the reigns as the Managing Editor for SoulTrain.com, a freelance position in which I oversee the editorial direction for the entire site, plan monthly editorial calendars and budgets, provide guidance for our talented writers, and promote and preserve the legendary Soul Train brand. I have interviewed dozens of my musical heroes and inspirations for my Artist to Artist column (Michael Franti, Meshell Ndegeocello, Mathew Knowles, among numerous others), and covered the red carpet for the NAACP Image Awards, Essence Black Women in Music, Soul Train Awards, the BET Awards, and the ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Awards.
