I'm a location independent entrepreneur currently living in my ex-holiday-town, Jeffreys Bay (or JBay) in South Africa, with my wife Mandy and our two busy boys.

JBay is a little surf town with big potential for digital nomad life, especially with a new co-working space above the surfwear factory shops.

Freedom is probably my biggest driving force, and the 9-5 grind is not an option for me anymore. I work in flip flops or my Vans, depending on whether I'll be going for surfing lessons or skating around in between working sprints.

My values gravitate toward ethical marketing. I broke up with the 'gurus' and bro marketers and prefer authenticity and having fun with branding.

Mandy and I run membership sites on Kartra. My client work is done in collaboration with a few passionate JV partners that can do VA work and write rockstar copy, but my personal passion is tech, ads and funnels. I'm happy to do this all day.

I used to be part of done-for-you launch team that built everything in Kartra and utilized Facebook ads. I was mostly the automation tech and ads guy. Tagging and automation wizardry is not foreign to me. And I build pretty pages as well ;-)

Work Terms

I seldom take on projects without knowing everything I need to know in advance.

I prefer open communication, but not on a micro level. I don't check WhatsApp or Messenger every second of the day because it becomes a distraction.

I prefer task based negotiations with realistic deadlines, and working smarter not harder.

I prefer working in sprints rather than being paid per hour.

If you need to outsource a large amount of work I prefer to involve my JV partners so we can get it done with speed and efficiency, which will be reflected in the quote. They are South Africans that write seriously good copy, build ecommerce stores and apps, and do VA work with scary efficiency.
